Labor Conference NBC 2012

In the afternoon of 17 March 2012, in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Be Garment Corporation (NBC) successfully held Labour Conference 2012.  It was chaired by Board of Directors of NBC, the Chairwoman of Trade Union and with the presence of key managers together with nearly 500 typical laborers from every factories and member companies national-wide.

In the conference,  Mr. Le Mac Thuan - Standing Deputy General Director NBC, on behalf of leaders of the Corporation, reported the outstanding business results in 2011 as follows: Industrial output reached 1,815 billion VND, achieving 115.59% as planned and increased by 33.24% compared with 2010; total revenue in 2011 obtained 2,732 billion VND achieving 125,33% as planned and increased by 44.11% compared with previous year; Profit obtained 65 billion VND exceeding 8.33% as planned.

Last year, the Corporation contributed capital and established Lagi Tourist JS Company; NBC Media (NBC Media); Technology Development Department; Move and construct Nam Tien Garment Factory stably at the new premise, stabilize the job and life for more than 400 laborers; Take good advantage of the budget provided by the Government for the purpose of opening 02 middle- and high-level management courses for garment industry: 01 College class and 01 Intermediate class; Open 2 foreign language classes for workers and employees at the same time;  Improve various technical processes, reduce the workforce, materials,… saving hundreds of million dongs per month.  Therefore, although the economy in 2011 still faced with difficulties, NBC, based on efforts of entire NBC’s workers and employees, obtained many encouraging achievements and continuously received the emulation flag as a leading entity in the textile and garment industry awarded by the Prime Minister. 

Mr. Pham Phu Cuong  – General Director NBC set out directions and duties in every perspective and put forth specific targets for 2012.  In which, GD emphasized on the training and investment in human resource, especially highly skilled professionals for FOB Division, in order to foster exports.   Focus on investments in advanced technology for making men’s and women’s veston, shirts in a timely and scientific manner in order to create a breakthrough in labor capacity as well as the product quality.  Besides, actively take good care of material and mental life for labourers in many ways such as: organize many programs and events for entertainment, support housing cost, increase the meal quality and income, build mini supermarket to serve workers and employees,… 

In the conference, General Director Pham Phu Cuong listened and answered recommendations from labourers working in member companies national-wide and collected opinions voting for targets set out in 2012 at the same time.  On behalf of Board of Management, he also signed the collective labour agreement and agreed on the emulation movement in 2012 with the Chairwoman of Trade Union - Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh under the witness of nearly 500 workers and employees attending the conference.
