Son Phu Commune is one of the “red” location, a leader in the movement defending the country against foreign invaders of Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province; however, due to the impact of natural disasters as well as the consequences of war and partly because of its hard-to-access wetland location, it encounters many difficulties in economic development. The local people experience material and spiritual lives of deprivation and misery with poor infrastructure, i.e electricity - roads – schools – stations, etc.
Ms. Truong Thi My Hoa, on behalf of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, shared and expressed sympathy for difficult circumstances and thanked Ben Tre people for their great contribution during the war as well as in the construction and protection of the country.
