NBC Lean Conference 2014 was a great success

On the afternoon of 20 June, NBC successfully held a Lean Workshop with the topic of "Change to develop". Attending the workshop were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Lan – Deputy GD of NBC, managers in Board of Management, directors of zones, factories, heads of departments and more than 150 employees who accompanied with the program to implement the Lean model in NBC over the past year. Especially, there was the participation of Dr. Nguyen Huu Thien - Former General Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality – Chairman of LEAN club. 

It can be confirmed that 2013 marked the transformation of NBC in strongly applying Lean technology in the production lines of the entity and brought the high labor productivity which increased by 20 – 25% immediately after the application. Lean creates a clean, scientific working environment and airy garment warehouses, factories for laborers.  The more important thing is creating emulation resonance in the production of the entity. The capacity, the quality of each assembly line was stabilized and controlled though each production hour.  The income of workers increased to 10 - 12%.  Especially, from the application of Lean, NBC reduced the working hours for workers by 10%

The delegates presented achievements and projects for implementation at NBC in the near future 

However, besides significant achievements that NBC achieved during past time, NBC still faced with difficulties and shortcomings as well as challenges in the short term and long term.  Therefore, the Lean Workshop this time was an opportunity for Board of Management, directors of zones, factories, heads of departments and all staff of NBC to jointly assess, acknowledge, exchange, inquire, share, learn from experience to focus on understanding and solidarity for the purpose of implementation of the Lean model as best as possible in the near future.
