Deputies cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony of the Fair 

This is the event held annually to introduce production and export capacity of garment and textile enterprises on the territory of Vietnam to local and foreign customers. The Fair reflects the latest developments of the fashion industry in recent years and introduces Winter - Spring new fashion collections this year.  At the same time, this is an important event creating an opportunity for local garment and textile enterprises to expand relationship, strengthen cooperation in the production and business, link local supply chains and step by step approach international clients in a more professional way.

2014 VIFF has a total area of up to 6,438m2, with nearly 300 standard stalls of 200 garment and textile enterprises in and outside the industry. Highlights of 2014 VIFF this year are major breakthroughs in the general to detailed design, staging and decoration of the stalls. The stage is innovatively designed with style to create a new feature and attract visitors, create the increasingly professional image of the event to honor the position of Garment and Textile industry as well as the image of strong brands of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group such as: Viet Tien, Nha Be, Phong Phu, Duc Giang, Viet Thang, May 10, Hanosimex, Hoa Tho ...  Opening the Fair, Viet Tien Garment Joint Stock Corporation launched 2015 Spring - Summer collection and Viettien Kids, luxurious, elegant, practical children's fashion  product line which has left a deep impression on visitors to the fair. 

Especially, at the Fair this year, in order to serve the growing needs of consumers in favour of "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods", many big brands “launched” new brands, for example, Duc Giang Corporation with HeraDG – mainly designed on the chiffon fabrics, silk fabrics, woolen fabrics and high-grade felts of the latest trends of the world fashion which are soft, gentle, characteristic and luxurious; Viet Tien Corporation with Viettien Kid product line for children under 11 years old including t-shirt, polo, shirt, casual vest, shorts, trousers, dresses, skirts, brassiere ... consulted and designed by foreign experts together with a team of young, professional designers of the Center of Fashion Designers of the Corporation bringing vividity and loveliness, suitable for young customers and being the bridge between Viettien and future generations of the country; Phong Phu Joint Stock Corporation with Style brand offering youthful, dynamic, handy knitted t-shirts for everyday activities such as going to work, staying at home, going for a walk ... and can combine them with jeans, khakis shorts, skinny which are well matched and creating their own personality traits ...

Mr. Do Thang Hai- Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade spoke at the ceremony 

Do Thang Hai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, highly appreciated the efforts of enterprises in the textile industry in general, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group in particular. Although the world economy still suffers from difficulties, Vietnam textile and garment industry has made a great contribution to the national import value and created jobs and stable incomes for more than 2.5 million laborers. The basic indicators of the industry such as industrial output value, sales, profits, employee income and budget payment ... increased significantly. Especially in recent years, in order to increase their competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, gradually integrate into the international economy, textile and garment enterprises have actively promoted designing, branding and been active in materials ... offering products with style, nice design and good quality, meeting the growing demands of domestic consumers and exporters.  Vietnam textile, garment and fashion industry has made strides in the international integration such as taking advantage of opportunities upon joining TPP, FTA aiming ODM, OBM production, engaging in international textile and garment supply chain… asserting Vietnam brand position, continuing to dominate the domestic market, well implementing the guidelines of the Politburo of "Vietnamese prioritize Vietnamese goods" scheme.  2014 VIFF shows a continuous growth of the Vietnam textile and garment industry with the participation of the well known entrepreneurs, the diversity of models and categories displayed at each stall as well as the increasingly professional organizational procedures which contribute to the success of VIFF 2014.

Mr. Le Tien Truong - General Director of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group said, although the economic conditions are still difficult, the export markets are shrinking, etc, Vietnam textile and garment industry is still trying to develop and obtained the exports for the first 9 months of USD13.65 billion, an increase of 19.7% compared to the same period in 2013, continued to keep the top position in terms of the national exports value.  Implementing the policy of the Politburo of "Vietnamese prioritize Vietnamese goods" scheme, in recent years, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group is and has been focusing on developing the domestic market.  Now, there are nearly 80 supermarkets under Vinatexmart supermarket system in 30 cities nationwide and over 4,000 dealers, stores of the member companies, contributing to expand the distribution network of textile and garment products in order to best meet the demands of consumers.  The enterprises of the Group have actively developed internal resources, refreshed their image through the market development as well as the building of a new brand identity ... , all created a new look for the Vietnam Textile and Garment industry, a dynamic and innovative look.

According to the Board of Organizers, during the Fair, there are some interesting programs such as music shows, "Happy Hour promotion", attractive fashion show of companies such as Viet Tien, Viet Thang, ELISE Fashion Joint Stock Company, Mai Fashion Ltd., Dung Hanh Wool One Member Limited Company, 3D – DLP Fashion Co. Ltd,... with the latest fashion trend collections for 2014 – 2015 Winter - Spring. 

The Fair will end on 29 September 2014.
