Seminar "Solutions to the performance of QDE movement for young workers in Ho Chi Minh City"

On 15 September 2012, at Nha Be Garment Corporation (NBC), there was a seminar with the topic “Solutions to the performance of QDE (Quality-Design-Economy) movement for young workers in Ho Chi Minh City”.

It is a program held by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in order to revaluate the achieved results and set out the plans and solutions to optimize the movement for each certain enterprise.

Attending the seminar were Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Pham Hong Son - Member of the Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Mr. Cao Van Duc, Youth Union Secretary of Central Industrial Enterprises (DNCNTW) and representatives of Youth Union of enterprises in DNCNTW in Ho Chi Minh City such as NBC, Phuong Dong Garment, TDC, Casumina, Pinaco, ...
Like other enterprises, NBC Youth Union responded enthusiastically and effectively to QDE movement in the Corporation. Executive Committee of NBC’s Youth Union, specifying the technical skills of workers as a crucial factor, developed a customized training program in an effort to improve professional skills and qualifications for employees. Specifically, with the “One helps one” model, Youth Union has allocated the Union force of each entity in charge of coaching skills for weak workers and new workers, helping them to learn the process, eliminate redundant operations, save time and improve their productivity.  Besides, Youth Union also proposed to open “vocational college” courses followed by “Training for succeeding human resources” program to enhance and supplement the knowledge of the Union members, young people who already acquired technical skills and qualifications.

“One helps one” model and “Training for succeeding human resources” program created a succeeding labor force of skilled workers and management teams who can satisfy the requirements in professional skills and qualifications, as well as knowledge for the solid and strong development of the entity in the future. Chairing the seminar, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Youth Union highly praised the practical activities of the Youth Unions of enterprises in general and NBC in particular who has a unique view of QDE as “the letter Q in QDE is not only the quality but also the technology and competition; D is not only the design but also the science and technology; E is not only the economization but also the marketing, market, brand, progress”. Such view of QDE will contribute to a new vision of workers, making them more aware of continuous learning, continuous improvement, innovation and brand pride which, in turn, will make them produce products of high quality and increase productivity; contribute to the ongoing development of the NBC brand, i.e. “Reaching to the world”
