Starting the construction of Duc Linh Garment

In the morning of 01 August, at the Quarter 1, Vo Xu Town, Duc Linh District, Binh Thuan Province, Nha Be Garment Joint Stock Corporation (NBC) held the starting construction of Duc Linh Garment Factory.  Attending the ceremony was Huynh Da Trung – the Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Huy – Chairman of the provincial PC; Mr. Pham Phu Cuong - Deputy General Director of Vinatex, Chairman BOD - CEO of NBC, together with representatives of the district agencies and departments, customers, partners, suppliers, construction agencies.

Duc Linh Garment Factory was built in 02 phases. Phase 1 has started since August 2016 with the investment capital of about VND200 billion on an area of 3.7 hectares. After finishing, it will create jobs for more than 2,000 employees, the production scale is about 3 million items of garments of all kinds, the annual turnover is over VND250 billion. Phase 2 will be launched in late 2017 when Phase 1 was completed with an investment of additional VND200 billion, creating new jobs for 2,000 workers, making the total revenue of both phases to VND500 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Huy – the district PC Chairman proposed Nha Be Garment Joint Stock Corporation to gather its resources on investment, construction and quick installation of assembly lines, equipment, labor training for the purpose of ensuring the project progress to put the factory into operation. With regard to functional branches, departments and Duc Linh authority, he proposed: continue to create conditions and provide support for early completion of the factory, improve the workplace of employees, increase income and budget contributions to the local authority.

The construction of Duc Linh Garment factory is in the strategy aiming at improving the product value chain, ensuring sustainable linkages in the business to better compete in the marketplace, especially with the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP) and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) with the European Union of NBC. It contributes to solving employment for thousands of rural workers, aiming at sector restructuring, gradual transition from agricultural to industrial production, creating stable and sustainable growth.  At the same time, it also contributes to poverty reduction along with the local authority.
